2008 also marks the 90th Anniversary of the ESU’s foundation, and the Conference celebrated this landmark birthday with a special 90th Anniversary Dinner at Murrayfield Stadium.

Edinburgh, of course, is one of Europe’s best-loved and most beautiful cities, and the Conference took full advantage of this, with events taking place in some of the City’s most impressive buildings. These included the 18th Century Assembly Rooms (main Conference venue); Our Dynamic Earth; The National Gallery of Scotland; The Scottish Parliament; The Mansfield Traquair Centre; and Murrayfield, home of Scottish rugby.

A full and exciting programme of pre-and post-Conference tours was also laid on, for those who wished to explore Edinburgh and Scotland more closely.

The Conference website gives full details of the conference.
