We at ESU Scotland were very excited at being given the opportunity to host the last World Members’ Conference in Edinburgh in September 2008. Over 250 delegates from 31 countries attended.

 ESU World 2008
We run two monthly writing groups here at the ESU.

Both groups involve a combination of writing exercises, discussion and looking at texts, which aims to provide inspiration and an exploration of creative writing that could be used in all genres. The groups are certainly not just for people who are already writing, anyone interested in a space for creativity is welcome.

Both groups meet here at the ESU offices at the end of Atholl Crescent from 4.30pm-6.30pm.

Writers@AthollCrescent - Prose is led by Naomi and meets on the 2nd Monday of every month.
Writers@AthollCrescent - Poetry is led by Rachel and meets on the 4th Monday of every month.

Although the groups look at either poetry or prose, all the sessions provide ideas and inspiration for writing in general, so do feel free to come along and try out something new. Quite a few of our members come to both!

You are welcome to just come along to a session, no need to book, and we ask for a 2 donation to the ESU.

If you would like to come along or would like more information, please do get in touch with Suzanne at the office.
