The American Studies Library was founded in 1988. It quickly became an
important resource for Scottish secondary schools, and it now contains
over 1000 books on American literature, history and politics.
The library is available for use by all ESU Scotland members, and by
all schools who take part in ESU Scotland competitions. It can also be
used for research purposes by others, with the prior permission of ESU
Scotland. If you would like to use the library, please contact the ESU
Scotland office.
Ordering books from the library is easy. We will send the books out to
the user, and then the user returns the books in person or by post. The
only cost is the cost of posting the books back to us. School students
should ask a teacher to order a book on their behalf.
Email us to order a book.
